Sarah and Dean: Take Two! After an amazing, intimate wedding last year and then a really cool engagement session in the oval, this pair celebrated their year (and a day) anniversary by renewing their vows with (more) family & friends at the Marriott in Fort Collins. Yes, it was in August. ;) I am catching up!

So typical. Having a great time!

Yowza, Sarah! SO SO SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

We did some formals (and not so formal) before the ceremony. They have such awesome and fun friends!

The Kooiman Brothers and the Sara(h) Kooimans. So Perfect! :)

One cool thing about the ceremony is that it was in the round, so the guests sat in a semi-circle around the center. Very unique.

Since it was a vow renewal, they opted to walk themselves down the aisles (yes, there were two) and then met up on the platform. Again, a very neat idea!

And, being the cool couple they are, cut their cake during the ceremony!

Receiving line photos are some of my favorites….

Dean is hilarious and they laugh all the time! :)

I was so excited to see Sarah & Dean again! They are such a cool, unique couple that has already been through a lot together. I had the distinct privilege of photographing their wedding last year, knowing that in a year we’d be getting together for “official” engagement photos and their vow renewal. Since they are also Rams, we met at the Oval for their engagement session. I loved catching their personalities, and how sweet and sincere they were to each other. Oh, and Sarah’s fabulous dresses. :)

This engagement session proves that it’s always good to ask!

I was thrilled when Beth, a friend from high school, and her fiancé Scott hired me for their Beaver Creek wedding. I was even more thrilled when we began discussing where to shoot their engagement session and she suggested the Sand Dunes! I did a little dance and said, “Of course!” Bryan and I were able to get away for two part days and even went camping, but not before we had to work this shoot!

After 5 1/2 hours of driving, the Sand Dunes met us looking like this:

We hung out, ate pie and watched the sky for about an hour and once again, Mother Nature decided to play nice. We were a few miles away from the park, but the colors were amazing!
It began to get gorgeous and I don’t just mean the atmosphere:

Beth, who is now an interior designer, definitely has style and knows how to use it! :)

And since we were here, we might as well do the tourist-y things…

I like this one. A lot.

I cannot even imagine what this driver must be thinking…

And then we got into the dunes. This one is smokin’

I love this one!! :)

We shall leave you hanging with this because, in the history of In Harmony Studios, I am doing a two-part engagement session post! It was just that epic!

Welcome to Part Two of Nate and Abbe’s Evergreen, CO wedding! If you missed it yesterday, here is part one!!

Right after the ceremony, Bryan and I kidnapped Nate and Abbe to do some pictures of just the two of them.
Since they live in New York, it was really important to them to get some “Colorado Wedding” shots.

We had a lot of fun!

We then headed back to the cocktail hour and gave Abbe and Nate time to interact with their guests and VIPs, like nieces!!

The first introduction!!

It was Henry’s 4th birthday! Abbe and Nate sang to him, along with all of the guests!
Perhaps he was a little shy…

Moms, you better lock up your daughters because Henry is makin’ some moves!

And so are these cute little ladies!

A great first dance…

Followed by a full dance floor the rest of the night! This group like to shake & move! :)

What was the most memorable moment about your day?
Nate: When I was standing under the chuppah waiting for Abbe to walk out it was drizzling and dark. Seconds later as Abbe stepped out of the building the rain stopped and the sun appeared over her shoulder.
Abbe: Seeing my hubby in a suit for the first time…he looked so sharp!!!

What was your favorite detail?
Nate: My dad built the chuppah by hand and with a lot of love and it looked spectacular. It really fit the event and the moment I couldn’t have been more pleased.
Abbe: The outdoor area of the Elks Lodge. We were literally surrounded by treetops and they had flowers planted everywhere. Perfect spot for a wedding!!!

Any advice for future brides and grooms?
Nate: Don’t forget your cuff-links!
Abbe: Ask friends and family (and the groom) for help! Don’t try to do everything yourself.

If you could do it all over would you change anything?
Nope not a thing!

What was your favorite wedding purchase?
Nate: Abbe’s engagement ring.
Abbe: My dress!! I loved wearing it! Might start wearing it around my apartment…

Most unexpected moment?
Nate: Walking back down the aisle after the ceremony and seeing all our family and close friends! Was really moving.
Abbe: When we were announced after the cocktail hour- as we entered the ballroom the crowd went wild!! I didn’t even want the announcement but it was one of my favorite moments of the day…made me realize that we are so loved!!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Alaska!!!

Another quintessential gorgeous Colorado Wedding! Abbe and Nate tied the knot up at the Evergreen Elks Lodge. Although Mother Nature psyched all of us out a few times with several downpours and well-timed threatening rain, she held off long enough for this sweet wedding to take place outdoors.

The setting was just perfect, nestled in between the trees…

…with a pretty Colorado chuppah hand made by the groom’s father!

Nate and Abbe chose to see each other before the ceremony which worked out perfectly! The rain stopped just long enough for us to do some photos before guests arrived.

I love the look on Nate’s face. This is a keeper!

One of the highlights of this wedding were all the KIDS!

There were seven adorable pink flower girls! It was great and they were SO cute!!

They almost stole the show!

Gorgeous day for a wedding!!

The little girls kept everyone entertained with their observations…”That’s made of wood!”

Another adorable couple is getting married. ♥ Meet Jeff & Danielle.

I first worked with them on Valentine’s Day for their cute Save the Date…at a bowling alley!

They chose one of my favorite locations and they were a fantastic pair to work with!

This might give it away… :)

Loved the color this evening!!
Of course, as always, it was threatening rain, but we went ahead with our plans. The sun decided to shine and I got some great flare. Yum.

And then had a little fun with some retro style…It fit them & the colors wonderfully!

This is one of my favorite ring shots. I love it!!! :)
