I was so excited to see Sarah & Dean again! They are such a cool, unique couple that has already been through a lot together. I had the distinct privilege of photographing their wedding last year, knowing that in a year we’d be getting together for “official” engagement photos and their vow renewal. Since they are also Rams, we met at the Oval for their engagement session. I loved catching their personalities, and how sweet and sincere they were to each other. Oh, and Sarah’s fabulous dresses. :)

Welcome to the second half of Beth & Scott’s super hot engagement session at the Sand Dunes National Park!

sand dunes engagement photographer | scott & beth [part one]

This engagement session proves that it’s always good to ask!

I was thrilled when Beth, a friend from high school, and her fiancé Scott hired me for their Beaver Creek wedding. I was even more thrilled when we began discussing where to shoot their engagement session and she suggested the Sand Dunes! I did a little dance and said, “Of course!” Bryan and I were able to get away for two part days and even went camping, but not before we had to work this shoot!

After 5 1/2 hours of driving, the Sand Dunes met us looking like this:

We hung out, ate pie and watched the sky for about an hour and once again, Mother Nature decided to play nice. We were a few miles away from the park, but the colors were amazing!
It began to get gorgeous and I don’t just mean the atmosphere:

Beth, who is now an interior designer, definitely has style and knows how to use it! :)

And since we were here, we might as well do the tourist-y things…

I like this one. A lot.

I cannot even imagine what this driver must be thinking…

And then we got into the dunes. This one is smokin’

I love this one!! :)

We shall leave you hanging with this because, in the history of In Harmony Studios, I am doing a two-part engagement session post! It was just that epic!

Another adorable couple is getting married. ♥ Meet Jeff & Danielle.

I first worked with them on Valentine’s Day for their cute Save the Date…at a bowling alley!

They chose one of my favorite locations and they were a fantastic pair to work with!

Loved the color this evening!!
Of course, as always, it was threatening rain, but we went ahead with our plans. The sun decided to shine and I got some great flare. Yum.

And then had a little fun with some retro style…It fit them & the colors wonderfully!

This is one of my favorite ring shots. I love it!!! :)

Woo Hoo! Alan & Annie are getting married!

We had a blast in Black Hawk and Central City shooting their engagement session.

I couldn’t think of a better way to spend Valentine’s this year than by working with an excited, sweet couple for their Save the Date mailing!

Jeff and Danielle are big bowling enthusiasts, so why not have a little fun in the afternoon!

We met in Longmont because they regularly spent time there when they were dating, and Jeff still participates in bowling tournaments!

AND, we even went bowling! (I didn’t–my average score of a 74 wouldn’t have put any kind of confidence in my photography work…)

I was THRILLED when Jeff pulled out this amazing little heart bowling ball. It was TOO perfect!

I am totally excited about their wedding in September, too. They have some bowling plans between the ceremony & reception, and
I know it’s going to be a blast!!

Although it was a quick little session for the Save the Dates, I loved hanging out with Jeff & Danielle! It was a perfect way to spend the afternoon! :)

You might remember this couple from his sister’s wedding.

Ryan & Maria were so much fun! I really enjoyed the location they chose–Old Mill Park. Rather small and intimate but a lot of variety.

It’s always extra special working with friends who are getting married. AJ and Megan are friends of friends, but I was absolutely thrilled when Megan contacted me to photograph her wedding. It gave us more time to get to know them better as a couple. Clients becoming friends is really the ultimate goal in all of our weddings because relaxed people photograph so well!

They were great and we had a really fun time wandering around the Chapungu Sculpture Park in Loveland. They laughed the whole time and made it easy and fun to document their really sweet love…

I was especially thrilled when we got to meet Twix, their “ringbearer” daschund. We have a daschund-poodle mix, so he was defintely in good company.

We did a great engagement session for Jessie and Shawn, getting married in 10 days!! I am doubly excited to participate in their wedding because Jessie is a very old friend from CSU and our music fraternity days. Shawn makes her SO happy and that is really special to witness. We’re also really excited about this wedding because it’s going to be so FUN: peacock colors, a park in Denver, and a beer and cheese pairing.

We had a great time at this session, and then learned that we’re infants when it comes to beer knowledge. Shawn patiently set us straight as we discussed various beers through dinner at Rock Bottom.
