This little one and I go way back. She’s always going to have a special place in my heart because she was the first. :) Here’s a link to her newborn session.

But, now she’s a roly-poly 9 month old and cute as a button! And, smiled the whole time. She did great!

So excited for our friends to welcome this sweet little girl into their lives!

These little angels are up on the blog again–after a little break! I wanted to get a few more of just the babies! :)

They were wonderfully cooperative and once again, I got to witness what a great mom and dad they have. Really awesome.

First: Nora

Next: Lily!

I love this one!

You can already tell their personalities are emerging. Lilly, on the left, is an analyst and a little more fussy…and Nora is relaxed and easy going.

Oh, and Lilly’s a redhead. ;) It’s a little more prominent here.

The Petersens are +2 with the arrival of their beautiful twins, Nora and Lilly.
You might remember Ella’s three year old session and it was so much fun coming back to this family of 5!

You can tell how excited Ella is to be a big sister!

Nora and Lilly arrived very early but are healthy and making strides every day. Nora’s with Emily and Lilly’s with Corry.

Let’s not forget Ella, who is so gorgeous! :)

I love coming to clients’ homes because it is so much more relaxed and you can easily capture the vibe from the family.
This is one of my favorites, because it’s so them.

MAYBE THIS NEEDS TO BE MY FAVORITE!!

We went on to do some studio work, and I love all of these in black and white. Classic.

Emily = Wow!
Another total favorite. Graceful, fun and taking it all in stride. :)

Happy Monday!!

It’s been very busy over here with moving and then starting a band job that had me out of town for a few days.

I’m a little embarrassed that I hadn’t blogged the whole month of May, and then my first post back is this little guy. Not that it’s a bad thing, but I do take pictures of other people. He’s lucky he’s so cute.

…AND….he’s officially the first client to be in the new studio area of our house! It worked great!! I’m really excited to get more kids and babies in there! :)

My goal in photography is to create awesome images that are also art. Wouldn’t this look great as a canvas? Think about not only the memories and milestones when planning your sessions, but also displaying your images. I mean, what good is great photography if no one sees it? :)

As a side note, I’m excited to give a virtual tour of the new house when I get things looking like we didn’t just move in. Onward!

This cutie pie is 7 1/2 months and a big squeezy ball of love! He is so happy and easy-going ! :) I did not touch his eyes, either! They’re the REAL DEAL!!

We went for a walk and it was still a little spring chilly. We only got a few, but I’ll take the opportunity to shoot this little butterball again! ♥

Yeah, it’s been awhile since I’ve had “work” to post! That’s OK by me, because seasons ebb and flow and while work was slow, we made sure that we filled all of that “extra time” with lots to do!
The most significant being that we’re selling our house and moving to Windsor! It was easy creating a huge to-do list of everything needed to get the house ready to sell, including painting the kitchen…but I digress. :)

A terrific break from the Do-It-Yourselfing was to document Collin’s Baptism, on Christmas Eve. You might remember him from Ellie and Pete’s maternity session and his darling newborn sesssion.

Now, Collin is a butterball of four months and couldn’t have been a better baby throughout the service. I was really impressed because since the service was ALSO a Christmas Eve service, it had more components to it.

But Collin got to go first. :)

I got really excited when I realized he was looking at me (the camera) and giving such good eye contact. The big, black thing is a little magnetic. :)

Collin’s sponsors were his Aunties: Hannah (Pete’s sister) and Maggie (Ellie’s sister).

Pastor Mike invited the kids up front to watch.

Well, I am par for the course on adorable newborns that come into my life from colleague referrals. :)

Meet Rian! A spunky 12 day old that has wonderful big lips. I saw them and thought “tuba player!”

Both of his parents are musicians, so it really could be possible…

I really enjoyed spending time with this new family, complete with beaming grandparents!

I enjoyed celebrating Taylor’s milestone year birthday with a session at her house! I did some infant portraits and when she was 9 months, and I have to say the older she gets, the more fun it is! (I’m also getting better at moving so quickly!) :)
